South Florida is probably best known for the beaches, with many to choose from it can be hard to pick a favorite. And each beach has its own flavor, so there is definitely one for everybody. We’ll go over some of the best beaches in Florida in this post!
South Beach – Miami
South Beach is notoriously famous, talked about all over the world. Shown in movies and in the very popular city of Miami. The Miami atmosphere includes bustling restaurants and bars, and with a luxury lifestyle; this beach definitely screams Miami. Known for its crystal clear water, soft white sand, and proximity to good restaurants and bars.
This beach is definitely worth the visit, you may even find your favorite thing to do in Florida.
Fort Lauderdale Beach – Fort Lauderdale
Known as a “spring breaker’s” beach, and rightfully so. A lot of people from around the country love to come to Fort Lauderdale Beach to party and let loose for spring break. Surrounded by bars and great restaurants just a street across the beach, getting the party started is easy.
If you are not so much into the party scene, Fort Lauderdale beach is also very chic when it isn’t party season. Plenty of places for craft cocktails, shopping, and good eats makes this a place to visit year round. The promenade is a local favorite, near the beach where you can enjoy fun shopping and food.
Deerfield Beach – Deerfield
This beach and area is a great place to have fun and unwind. Not as famous as some other beaches in Florida, locals love coming here. A great place to both relax and have fun, complete with a pier that allows for fishing or taking in the sights.
On the right side of the pier you’ll find families and folks enjoying the sand and blue water, getting a tan. On the left side of the pier, you’ll find volleyball nets and balls being thrown around. Having fun is easy to do with some great bars and stores nearby.

You’ll have plenty of fun walking the ave and exploring at night, and you can finish with a relaxing walk on the beach before turning in for the night.
Cocoa Beach – Cocoa
You’ve probably heard of Cocoa Beach for the Kennedy Space Center, where rockets launch and soar to space. This beach has it all, land, sea, and space exploration. This beach has a gorgeous pier for great sunset views, and miles of shoreline. And even though Florida isn’t known for surfing, you can find some waves at Cocoa Beach.
