Jet Ski Reservation

Before Reservation

1) Arrive at Company Truck

Arrive at the truck at least 30 minutes before reservation.

Once your arrive to the truck, make sure that all equipment is set up:

  • Trailer Hitched
  • Covers Off Jet Skis
  • Trailer Lock Removed

 

Then drive to the Reservation Location:

2) Get Equipment on Ramp

When you arrive at the drop off location prepare to back the trailer onto the ramp.

If there are any wraps on the jet ski ensure to remove them.

Slowly reverse the trailer until the jet ski is partially submerged in the water on the ramp.

Put the truck into park.

3) Drop Off & Tie Up Equipment
  • Ensure you have a life jacket on before proceeding.
  • Grab bungee rope lines for each jet ski.
  • Grab the key for each jet ski.

 

Make a loop and get the loop over the head of each jet ski.

Unclip the jet ski from the trailer hitch.

Mount the jet ski and proceed to a dock piling

Tie the line around the dock piling and clip it onto itself on the line.

Do this for each jet ski, and leave them tied up without the key in place.

4) Park Truck & Trailer

Take the truck out of park and drive it off the ramp. 

From there park the truck in a comfortable space.

If there is any parking fees, either use the company account, or charge your personal card (you’ll get reimbursed).

 

Make a loop and get the loop over the head of each jet ski.

Unclip the jet ski from the trailer hitch.

Mount the jet ski and proceed to a dock piling

Tie the line around the dock piling and clip it onto itself on the line.

Do this for each jet ski, and leave them tied up without the key in place.

5) Gather Equipment & Lock Truck

Gather any customer equipment:

  • life jacket bag
    • with 4 life jackets in it
  • equipment bag
    • extra bungees
    • diving watches
    • phone case
    • waterproof bag
    • jet ski anchor

Gather any other equipment you may need for a great reservation.

 

Make sure to lock the truck.

 

Proceed to the dock where the jet skis are parked and prepare for customers.

Reservation & Customer Interaction

1) Greet Customer & Set Up

Greet the customer in the following way:

Hi, we’re excited to get you on the water.

I’ll get you all the equipment you need, then go over instruction.

Provide the customer with the following:

  • life jacket for each rider
  • diving watch for each operator
    • ensure that the watch timer is set for the duration of the reservation.
  • anchor (if they plan to stop anywhere)
  • Waterproof bag (per jet ski rented)
  • phone cover (only if requested)

 

Once all equipment has been passed on. Go store the equipment bags onto the truck and return.

2) Instruction & Onboarding

Once all the equipment is passed onto the customer you can go over the instructions:

  • Place the key onto your life jacket, this ensures the jet ski turns off in case you are separated from the jet ski.
  • To start the engine, put the key onto the jet ski switch, then hold the start engine button to start the jet ski.
  • To turn off the engine, you can either hold the start engine button or pull the key from the jet ski switch.
  • Right throttle is to push the jet ski forward. The harder you press the faster the jet ski moves.
  • Left throttle is the neutral and reverse. Press it once to put the jet ski in neutral. Hold it to put the jet ski into reverse.
  • All jet ski information is underneath the seat. The fire extinguisher is also underneath the seat.

Let them ask if they have any questions and answer them.

 

Proceed to get them onto the jet ski. Once all the riders are situated you can unhook the line. Make sure to keep the lines for both jet skis for the return.

3) Departure & Supervision

Get situated on your jet ski and start to ride out with them.

Ensure they follow all water signs.

Attempt to capture in action photos of their riding.

Keep track of timing and ensure sufficient time to return back.

Make sure to always keep them under your supervision and don’t let them get to far.

4) Return & Offboarding

Once it’s time to return back, let the customer know and start the ride back.

Make sure they are still following all water signs & safety procedures.

 

Once you get back to the drop off location, tie up your jet ski. Once you are situated tie up the customers jet ski.

Assist them off and make sure they collected all of their belongings.

 

Go to the truck and gather the equipment bags and start collecting all equipment from the customers.

Once everything is collected, you can thank the customers, and let them be on their way. Let them know they are all taken care of.

After Reservation

Another Same Day Reservation

1) Review Equipment

Take the time to review the equipment and make sure its water worthy for the next reservation.

If anything is dirty or wet, make sure to clean and dry it as best you can.

 

If there are any issues, take pictures and document as much information as you can.

2) Refill Equipment with Gas

If needed refill the gas for the jet skis.

After Reservation

Done for the Day

1) Review Equipment

Take the time to review the equipment and make sure its water worthy for the next reservation.

If anything is dirty or wet, make sure to clean and dry it as best you can.

 

If there are any issues, take pictures and document as much information as you can.

2) Get Equipment onto the Trailer

Back the trailer onto the ramp.

Slowly reverse the trailer until the jet ski is partially submerged in the water on the ramp.

  • Ensure you have a life jacket on before proceeding.
  • Grab bungee rope lines for each jet ski.
  • Grab the key for each jet ski.

 

Untie a jet ski and bring it back onto the trailer.

Clip the jet ski onto the trailer hitch.

Do this with each one. 

3) Clean Equipment

Once you have the jet skis on the trailer, move the equipment over to the park cleaning area.

 

Clean the Jet Ski Exterior

  • Connect the hose to the facet. Connect the hose to the soap/water head.
  • Add salt away detergent to the canister.
  • Soap down the jet skis.
  • Once covered in soap, wash it down with water.

Clean the Jet Ski Interior

  • On the back of the jet ski, unscrew the water plug.
  • Connect the hose to the intake valve.
  • Start the jet ski engine, then immediately turn on the water hose on.
  • Once water has circulated throughout the jet ski, rev the engine a couple times. 
  • Turn off water hose and immediately turn off the jet ski.

 

Once this has been done, you can continue to move the equipment to the storage lot. Feel free to leave the jet ski wet, it can dry on the ride there.

4) Return Equipment to the Lot

Drive to the storage lot:

 

Once there make sure to leave the truck and trailer where it was picked up from. 

5) Dry & Prepare Equipment then Lock Up

Drain the jet skis of any water with the water siphon.

Dry the jet ski exterior with the rags till dry.

Fill up the jet skis with gas until full. If the gas canisters on the truck are low on gas notify management.

 

Place the covers over the jet ski. 

 

Attach the trailer wheel lock.

Lock the truck.
